Our speakers will provide background and insight to the passing of a modern bilateral investment treaty, U.S.-Rwanda trade and investment cooperation, and what this means for further economic growth in Sub-Saharan Africa. U.S.-Rwanda BIT was ratified in September 2011, the only BIT that was signed last year. The treaty was the first BIT the United States has signed with an African country in over a decade.
